Thank you for this transitional day for being part of the journey.

Thank you for this unexpected information and change of course. Help me overcome my fear of how it will inform my future.

 

Calm my uneasiness about what is being presented. When I am blindsided, soften my breath, and let me feel it’s influence on me. During these times, I forget what works well for me. Keep me close to you by bringing my attention to the tension rising in me. Provide a cushion for my rigidity.

 

Soothe my desire to numb out and activate my miraculous systems for coping. Circulate my blood while I navigate this strange territory. Help me stay open. Help me trust that I can get through this. When I sense that I am contracting, help me lean into trust. Mellow my heart’s rhythms when it engages in a race with my thoughts.

 

When changes threatening to in hinge me, and tether me from my illusions of safe Harbor. Help me remember the earth anchors me, that I am equipped to handle what will enfold that I have seen dissolution before, and made it through.

 

Ease my need for comfort at the expensive presence. Help me call out to the feelings. Help me navigate this starless night road on which I feel so hopeless. Help me be with this turn of events, rolling in my body and tame my overactive mind.

 

Turn me toward the mirror so I can accept myself even in desperation. Help me appreciate my form when I cannot get myself together as I believe I’m supposed to. Remind me that I can be awake to what is happening and manage fear at the same time.

 

Inject me with the reminder that I didn’t come this far to abandon myself now.

TRANSITION RECIPE

A sacred cacao recipe for times of letting go and surrendering to the universal heart and infinite possibilities within the unknown.

​

Ingredients (per serving, and to taste):

  • 25–30g ceremonial-grade cacao paste

  • 7oz hot water

  • ½ tsp cinnamon – for warmth and grounding

  • 1 pinch cayenne – to activate stagnation

  • 1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup – to call in sweetness and ease

  • 1/2 tsp ashwagandha to support nervous system resilience in the unknown

  • Rose water or petals to nourish the heart. I will take dried petals and make a "tea", which I will add the above ingredients to.

 

Ritual Preparation:

  1. Heat your water to about 85°C / 185°F.

  2. In your favourite mug, combine the cacao paste with the other ingredients with intention - each one honouring a part of your transition.

  3. Add your hot water and let stand before using your frother to blend! *You can also use a blender.

  4. Hold your cup to your heart. Speak your intention aloud or whisper it into the cacao.

  5. Sip slowly, letting the warmth and energy of the cacao move through your body like a tender hug.
