CREATE YOUR OWN DESPACHO

1. Gather Your Materials

  • Tissue paper (to hold everything together)

  • Ribbon or twine (to tie your offering)

  • Flowers, herbs, or leaves

  • Seeds, grains, or small stones

  • Symbolic items meaningful to you (notes, charms, crystals)

  • Pieces of paper to write down intentions, releases, or blessings

  • Optional: small figurines, feathers, or drawings

2. Set Your Intention

Take a moment to breathe, center yourself, and reflect on what you want to honor, release, or invite into your life. Use your paper to write down specific intentions or what you wish to let go of.

3. Build Your Offering

Place your chosen items and your paper notes in the center of the tissue paper. Each element represents a part of your intention—your grief, gratitude, healing, or wishes. Let your heart guide the arrangement.

4. Wrap and Secure

Fold the tissue paper around your items and notes, and tie it with ribbon, string, or twine. Visualize your energy and prayers being safely held inside.

5. Offer or Burn Your Despacho

When ready, burn your Despacho outdoors or offer it to the Earth. As the paper transforms into smoke or merges with soil, imagine your intentions, releases, or blessings being carried beyond the physical realm. This act helps release, heal, and invite renewal.

6. Reflect

Sit quietly after creating and offering your Despacho. Notice any shifts in energy, emotional release, or clarity. You may journal or simply breathe in gratitude for the process.

BLUE LOTUS DREAM CACAO

Ingredients (per serving, and to taste):

  • 20–25 g ceremonial-grade cacao paste

  • 7oz hot water (just below boiling). *plant milk (optional, adds creaminess)

  • 1 tsp blue lotus petals or 1 dropper blue lotus tincture

  • ½ tsp raw honey or maple syrup

  • Pinch of cardamom (opens the heart and balances digestion)

  • Tiny pinch of nutmeg (supports sleep and dream recall)

  • Pinch of sea salt

Preparation:

  • If using flowers: steep blue lotus petals in hot water for 8–10 minutes. Strain, then use this tea as your base.

  • If using tincture: prepare cacao first, then add tincture once it’s slightly cooled (to preserve the alkaloids).

  • Add spices, sweetener, and salt.

  • Melt chopped cacao into the hot liquid and whisk until smooth and velvety. Stir slowly, infusing your intention for peaceful rest and dream connection.

  • Drink about 1 hour before bed, in a quiet, candlelit space.

Suggested Ritual:

  • Enjoy your cacao while creating and sitting with your Despacho before bed, setting intention to meet your loved one in your dreams.

Holding you in compassion on your journey.

Aho.

With big, steady love,

Valerie
