PLANT MEDICINE: SACRED CACAO

An indigenous myth tells that when the balance between humans and nature becomes threatened, Cacao comes from the rainforest to open people's hearts and return the planet to harmony.

Healers, medicine carriers and shamans understood that true healing is more than “fixing” a physical ailment. They knew that when dis-ease was present, the person was misaligned, and that to return to health one must reach into the energetic core of the person to bring about a change and balance.

Plants have a direct line to source energy that helps healing to take place. This source energy is powerful! The container of our bodies needs to be free of clutter for us to experience freedom to heal, and have the capacity to hold the enormous spiritual energy that moves through us as we work with plant spirits.

Cacao is the sacred medicine of the heart because it helps us return to living from the heart space. Sitting with this divine plant medicine provides one with the opportunity to become deeply present with thoughts and emotions we are currently experiencing. It can illuminate the shadow areas of our lives, and help bring forth perpetual growth and healing.
